She’s the Bravest

strong-women

Like Rosie the Riveter (Claytia G.)

She’s the bravest woman I know. I still can’t fathom what she lived and continues to live. She hides her tears and puts up a strong front for her family

But I know.

I know because of what I hear her say on the phone. To her friends. The other brave ones. The ones who put everything behind their family. Their children.  You often wonder how they do it? How do they continue to live on. When you want to give up because Accounting is too hard.

She did not give up when you got home late drunk that one night. She did not give up when your father cheated on her. Or your family.

Her struggles motivate you, but they make you wonder. You wonder how out of all your intelligence you can’t find the strength to keep going.

She’s the one you can turn to. The one you can talk to and the one that tells us everything is “going to be okay” because it was okay for her. She did it. She raised you. She raised you to be okay.
